Overview

Situated in peaceful Tamboerskloof, this small boutique guest house is 15 minutes’ walk from central Cape Town. It has an outdoor pool and offers free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

All guest rooms at An African Villa feature air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV and facilities for making hot drinks. Some rooms also have a balcony providing views of Table Mountain.

A full English breakfast is served each morning, along with a selection of fruits and pastries, and there are communal kitchen facilities and an ‘honesty’ fridge. There are numerous restaurants on the famous Kloof Street, 5 minutes’ walk away.

Guests can relax outside on the poolside terrace, or inside in the Villa’s library. District 6 Museum is less than 2 miles away, and it is a 40-minute walk to the V&A Waterfront.

Cape Town International Airport is 19 km away from Hotel African Villa.

Travel information

From Cape Town International Airport

- Take the N2 towards the city and then follow signs towards cableway.
- On reaching the T-junction at buitengraght street turn left (still
towards toward the cableway)
- The road is now a dual carriageway and soon changes name to new
church street.
- At the next traffic light (which is a fairly big intersection with several roads
interconnecting) the name changes once again to kloofnek road (see
Tamboerskloof pharmacy on the left).
- At this intersection turn right and then immediately right once again going
back the way you came.
- This road is the one down from the cableway and is called upper
buitengracht (see a park on your left) turn left into the second road
which is CARSTENS STREET.
- In the second block (about half way up) you will find No.19.
Important information

Free Parking is available in front of or close to the Villa. A security guard is on duty for the protection of your vehicle at night.
